There are multiple ways to integrate technology into lesson plans such as using interactive PowerPoints, online programs on the computers such as Kahoot or iReady, educational videos on the internet to serve as visual aids, BrainPop, eBooks, Smartboards, and educational games. Integrating technology into lesson plans is based on knowing which softwares to use to enhance your lesson and have students interact with differentiated technology that corresponds with your lesson plans. I do plan on using all these types and ways of technology to integrate technology into my lesson plans to incoporate an interactive and fun learning environment for each of my students.
Technology is important when teaching students because it allows students to participate in hands-on activities that may benefit them more than the actual lesson itself. Technology allows students to learn research skills that they will use in their future, whether that be in their careers or during their future grade levels. Integrating technology is important in the classroom because it allows students to receive visuals they may need in order to make connections with the material they are learning.
