Parent engagement is an advocacy issue all around the world. The parent engagement advocacy is focused on informing parents why and how to be engaged with their childs' education. 

Parent engagement is important because when parents are engaged in their child's education, it increases the motivation of the child to want to do well in school. Parent engagement also increases student behavior while in the classroom.
