Today you will start making a website for information regarding Ancient Egyptian Civilization. There will be 5 main parts to your website: Geography of Ancient Egypt, Ancient Egypt's Old Kingdom, Religion in Ancient Egypt, Ancient Egypt's Middle Kingdom, and Ancient Egypt's New Kingdom. Today, you need to complete the homepage, and the Geography Page. Follow the detailed directions below:

October 26-27, 2022 Ancient Egypt's Old Kingdom

Today, you will create a page on your website for Ancient Egypt's Old Kingdom. We will discover how the power of Pharaoh grew during this time. We will discover pyramids, and mummification and what those had to do with the Egyptian view of the afterlife. Follow the steps below to correctly complete your webpage.

Step 1: Under "Pages" choose "New Page"

Step 2: Title the new page "Ancient Egypt's Old Kingdom"

Step 3: Provide information for the items listed below:

Who was in charge of people and owned all of the land in Ancient Egypt? What did Egyptians also believe he was?

October 28 & 31, 2022 Religion in Ancient Egypt

Today, you will create a webpage on your Ancient Egypt website for Egyptian Religion. You will complete 2 RACES Writing paragraphs on this page, and discuss at least 3 of the gods or goddesses. The specific directions are below, and you can follow along with me.

To Create the page:
Step 1: On "Pages" tab, click "New Page"

Step 2: Title the New Page "Religion in Ancient Egypt" OR "Ancient Egyptian Mythology"

Step 3: Continue following the directions below.

Part 1: Multitudes of Gods RACES Writing:

Step 1: Read the Multitudes of Gods pdf on Google Classroom

Step 2: Answer 2 of the questions in a RACES Writing paragraph each on your website.

Part 2: Gods/Goddesses of Ancient Egypt:

Step 1: Research the gods and goddesses of Ancient Egypt.

Step 2: Choose 3-4 that you want to discuss in detail on your website.

November 1-2, 2022 Ancient Egypt's Middle Kingdom

Today, you will create a page on your website for the Middle Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. Follow the directions below, and use the textbook to answer the questions on your website. Be sure to add images, video, etc. to your webpage.

Step 1: On "Pages" tab, click "New Page"

Step 2: Title the New Page "Ancient Egypt's Middle Kingdom"

Step 3: Use the textbook, Pages 120-121 to answer questions below.

You need to answer the following on your website:

When did the Middle Kingdom begin? When did the Middle Kingdom end? How many years did the Middle Kingdom last?

November 3-4, 2022 Ancient Egypt's New Kingdom

Today, you will create a page on your website for the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. This period is known for the amount of wealth Egypt was able to gain. We will learn about some strange family histories during this time. Use the instructions below to complete your page on the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt.

Step 2: Title the New Page "Ancient Egypt's New Kingdom"

Step 3: Use the textbook pages 122-127 to complete the information below.

You need to answer the following on your website:

When did the New Kingdom begin? When did the New Kingdom end? How many years did the New Kingdom last?
