Supply List

First, welcome to Second Grade! We are so excited to have you. We will learn so much together! Below are a list of supplies and skills that support a successful school year.

Supplies: 

• 1 regular-sized pencil box/pouch

• 2 vinyl folders

• 6 Elmer’s glue sticks

• 12 regular, wooden, sharpened pencils. (Pencils wrapped in a  plastic coating  make a mess and clog the sharpener)

• 2 rectangular erasers

• 2 highlighters (any color is fine)

• 6 fine-tipped, thin,  black Expo markers

• 2 packs of 24 crayons

• 1 pair of wired headphones for use with Chromebooks (headphones seems to work better than earbuds; no bluetooth devices)

• 1 pair of child sized scissors

• 1 notebook OR composition book 

*Please place all these items in a gallon sized ziplock bag. We will unpack what we need, and then store the rest to access as needed. 

**The more you can pre-label with your child’s name the better!

*** Please do not bring supplies that look like toys.

Second Grade Skills:

• Open and close all supplies and lunch items independently.

• Zip and unzip all clothing items for going outside and using the restroom.

• Tying shoes.

• Properly washing hands. 

• Knowing their address, phone number for one family member,  & their own birthdate.
