Dallas is using the Zearn math program by Eureka at the K-5 level for math. Zearn is created to develop foundational skills while also encouraging students to solve problems in a variety of ways using multiple strategies. It's about building strong math thinkers, not students that just "carry the 1" because their teacher told them to.

While the foundational skills haven't changed, the process may have expanded to support budding mathematician that can think about problems from a variety angles, and attack the problem in multiple ways. Here are some resources to help you, help your child ("Help me, help you! Help me, help you!"). And as always, I'm available to help in class!
