My name is Tricia Opdahl and I really enjoy doing math! I believe in encouraging each student to look at math from the perspective that suits them best. I also believe in getting comfortable making mistakes, admitting when something is unclear, and figuring things out with other people.
I hold engineering degrees from Harvey Mudd College (BS Engineering) and USC (MS Systems Architecture and Engineering) and spent 6 years working as a Systems Engineer in the aerospace industry before transitioning to Stay-at-home-homeschooling-mom. I have been teaching math, as well as other subjects, in the homeschooling community for over 15 years. During my time as a homeschooling mama, I saw a need for in person math classes at the high school level and I am excited about helping to fill that gap for homeschoolers in and around the Tri-Community.
In my free time I enjoy reading, walking my dogs, going to the ranch, dancing with my husband, and learning languages.
