Each week in March, students and staff will vote on pairs of artworks, choosing one from each pair to move on to the next round. 2 final artworks will go head to head to determine which artwork is Champion! 🏀⛹️🎨🖼️
A surprise guest stopped by the Art room today... Bob Ross!
The New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA) is holding their annual Flag Contest! Last year, one of Iroquois' own won and her flag continued on to the national contest. The winner also earns $100 worth of art supplies!
If your child is interested in submitting a design, please have them see me to pick up a design packet, complete with rules and parent consent form. Submissions are due to me by November 24!
We started off the year with a BIG project!
Every student in the building, (including UPK!), created a personal tessellation piece to add to the school puzzle. A tessellation is a special puzzle where all of the pieces are exactly the same shape. The way that the figures connect remind us that we are one big school family.
A big THANK YOU to Joe & Jay @ Pizza Delizia in Elma for donating 25 large pizza boxes to our Art rooms! The boxes will be used to store each class's artwork together in a safe place. We appreciate the partnership of our local, small businesses!
A little refresh on the Elma Art Gallery board. Ready and waiting for some fabulous art to fill it up!
Coming in March 2026: M-ART-ch Madness! 🏀🎨
