All steps will be documented. Subsequent occurrences will result in office referrals.
Severely disruptive and/or disrespectful behavior will be immediately referred to administration.
Students will enter the classroom quietly and respectfully and proceed to their assigned seats, remove caps/hats, hoods, silence and put away phones/ear phones, and begin working on bell work immediately .
When doing bell work students will write the date, copy the instructions and complete the assigned task.
When turning in assignments students will either complete/upload assignments on Google Classroom, or place their papers in the designated basket as they exit the classroom.
Students will remain in their assigned seats during the class period. Students will need to raise their hand to leave their seats.
No more than 1 student at a time may leave for the restroom. Students need to be conscious of this and not abuse the time that they are out of the classroom. Students cannot leave during the first or last 10 minutes of class or during direct instruction. There are passes in the back of your planner for using the restroom. If you need to use the restroom, please fill out your planner and I will sign the pass. Your planner is your hall pass, and you may be asked to show it. Students will be limited to bathroom passes if necessary.
When the students’ attention is needed the teacher will stand in front of the class and say the words “Necesito su atención, ¡Listos!” ( I need your attention - Ready!)
When working in groups, students will be respectful, cooperative, and accountable for completing the role they are assigned.
When completing notebooks students will label each and every entry item (i.e. bell work, vocabulary list, notes, and class work) with the appropriate title, which will include date.
When using textbooks one student from each row will collect and distribute textbooks to their row and another student will collect and return the textbooks to the book shelf in an orderly fashion. (Students will be financially responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged textbooks).
When arriving late to class students will go directly to ACE and follow the new school Tardy Policy. If a student has a pass to arrive late to the classroom, the student will respectfully knock on the door and wait for Mrs. Favela to open the door.
