Are we getting grades for PE?
That is a super question. Your PE Grade for the Progress Report will be the grade you had last term.
I am hoping that you have had time every day to at least take some brain breaks in between Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.
Remember, increased fitness = increased academics
If you want to enhance your grade for your Report Card, write a paragraph, draw a pic, take photos or videos of you practicing your favorite sport, playing a game you made up, running around the yard...whatever makes you happy (and sweaty.)
In Middle School, PE continues to build on learning more difficult physical concepts and activities as a greater emphasis is placed on individual and team sports/skills. The total development of a student - physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually - is highlighted and students are encouraged to begin the process of caring for their physical, social, and emotional health.
Over vacation send me pictures/videos of ways you are moving! Make up games like the Balloon in a Basket Soccer Game. Make your own sports equipment out of everyday items - I heard about someone making a mini golf course in the backyard and using a selfie stick and a piece of cardboard for a putter. Have a fun week off, go outside and play, and be safe.
Everyday Joe has a different workout. You can find him on YouTube; his channel is The Body Coach TV.
Here's your challenge, do Joe's workout every day until we are back in school.
