Are we getting grades for PE?
That is a super question. Your PE Grade for the Progress Report will be the grade you had last term.
I am hoping that you have had time every day to at least take some brain breaks in between Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.
Remember, increased fitness = increased academics
If you want to enhance your grade for your Report Card, write a paragraph, draw a pic, take photos or videos of you practicing your favorite sport, playing a game you made up, running around the yard...whatever makes you happy (and sweaty.)
The goals of students in 4th and 5th grade are to review and begin to master basic locomotor and non-locomotor skills and concepts while being introduced to more challenging physical activities. Sport specific rules are emphasized and strategy is introduced. Team play allows for the opportunity to demonstrate leadership as well as learning to be a good follower and, of course, developing good sportsmanship.
Over vacation send me pictures/videos of ways you are moving! Make up games like the Balloon in a Basket Soccer Game. Make your own sports equipment out of everyday items - I heard about someone making a mini golf course in the backyard and using a selfie stick and a piece of cardboard for a putter. Have a fun week off, go outside and play, and be safe.
Monday - Friday Joe Wicks posts a different workout on his YouTube Channel. Challenge yourself to do his work out everyday. His channel is The Body Coach TV on YouTube
