Puppy and Snail are my partners in delivering the Second Step Social Emotional Curriculum.
I am so happy to share that Remote Learning continues to be a great learning experience! I created a Bitmoji Virtual Classroom and a Google Classroom where I share Social Emotional activities, Google Slide presentations, and a variety of resources to help our students cope with their Social Emotional needs. In the spring I was also privileged to provide virtual office hours (for both, Romero and Gustine Elementary) in partnership with our School Psychologists, Mrs. Fuentes and Mrs. Barco. I shared Digital Citizenship power point presentations during our virtual office hours and guided the students in navigating through my Google Classroom. Please remember to encourage your child to read every day.
I am so happy to be your child's School Counselor. Please reach out to me with questions or concerns. :)

When Mrs. Herrera goes shopping for toys for her kids, She also looks for toys for her students. She got this one at Walmart. She's a BenjiBear and she's a two-toned color changing plushie covered in sequin. She remains in Mrs. Herrera's bookshelf for all students to play with. She doesn't have a name yet. Mrs. Herrera is waiting for the students to name her. :)
I am happy to announce that Gustine and Romero Elementary participated in the Great Kindness Challenge this school year (20-21) and we have been Kindness Certified! :)
