Teachers will creating caring, safe communities in their classroom built on mutual respect. Teachers will provide students with appropriate learning activities and encourage students to do their best, while providing help when needed. Teachers will guide students through social-emotional skill as well as academic skills.
Artifact Description: This project was a big undertaking, but was so worth it. I took our state Focus Skills for each grade level (K-8) and located them in our textbook series. If I couldn't find the Focus Skill in our textbook, I spoke with the grade level teacher to see where they got resources to teach that skill.

Artifact Description: This project has been well-loved by my colleagues. I went through each grade level math textbook lesson by lesson and identified which lessons were related to Focus Skills and which were not. I then created this document to share with teachers so they could prioritize which lessons to focus on the most.
