Method of Vision Attainment
To attain a desired vision, all stakeholders must be responsible for doing their part. Administrators must create a positive culture based on mutual respect by using effective communication. Staff must do their part by creating positive classroom environments and encouraging students to do their best. The community must support the school in a positive manner.
Artifact Description: I worked with my current administrator to update the student handbook (it hadn't been updated in over 5 years). This process was enlightening to learn the legal side of a handbook and how carefully policies needed to be worded.

Artifact Description: I created an MTSS/SEL course for our junior high team. An MTSS course was requested for our junior high students, but we were unsure of what to do with the rest of the students during that time. We decided to give SEL lessons a try. Each day of the week was assigned a theme and lessons/videos/activities were created based on those themes.

Artifact Description: This is an email between the Career and Technical Education Coordinator and myself organizing a tour of the John Deere Davenport Works facility. Mr. Smithers helps coordinate opportunities for our 8th graders to experience some real world career fields so they may gain an interest in a program offered at the high school.
