It was important to me to choose an assitive technology application that was easy to navigate for both the educators and students. The AT resource had to be engaging and fun.
Quizlet is an app. or website that encompasses multiple games in to one. It has flashcards, a learn function, writing and spelling games. It also has games like matching and a gravity game to maintain the students attention. Once they are familiar with the material they can take the test to see where they are at. If you click on the Quizlet logo to the left, it will direct you to the website. Have fun navigating your way through some of the games that others have created or get creative and invent your own game.
I have also embedded a YouTube video of my analysis of Quizlet. Take a few minutes and watch how easy it is to use. It has great benefits for students. School aged students are natural learning. They love video games therefore if you can teach them through games it serves two purposes. They are learning without even realizing it. I adjusted the closed caption within the YouTube video to correspond directly with my voice. The transcript was edited for proper use of sentence structure and grammar etiquette. The closed caption button is located near the bottom right of the video.
In my Pinterest account there is a multitude of tech tools, all with different purposes in mind. They all address a specific need. Click on the Pinterest logo to the right for a more in depth look at some of the more relevant tools I recommend.
