Ashmeeta Kumar

Qualifications: I have completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Diploma of Teaching.

Experience: I joined the Commerce Department at Mount Roskill Grammar School in 2008 after teaching Overseas and at other institutions and have been here ever since. Currently, I teach Business Studies and am part of the pastoral team as a Dean.

Why I teach my Subject: I teach Commerce because it is relevant to our everyday needs. Our Junior curriculum creates a financial awareness amongst our students as well, it better prepares them for the outside world and to become active responsible citizens.

Why I teach at MRGS: There is a sense of belonging at Mount Roskill Grammar School where we all become part of a big family. We work together with the Primary and Intermediate school and watching our students grow together through all the three schools on our campus builds a strong bond between them and us as teachers giving us a sense of pride that we have made a difference in their lives.
