Learn: Using Audio Effects
Goal: Begin to understand what audio effects can do. Specifically: EQ, Reverb, Delay, and Utility.
1. Watch this video to begin.
2. Open and import pack of audio clips. Apply effects to audio.
3. Arrange a musical composition in Arrangement View with effects applied.
4. Export MP3 and upload to Shared Folder.
5. Complete Lesson 4 of this document.
6. Practice at home. Export and Upload.

- Login to Desktop.
- Plug in Headphones in Aux port in front of PC.
- Click the Ableton Live Icon on the Desktop to Open.
- Watch Mr. Fox's Audio Effects Lecture while following along in Live. You are welcome to pause the video to try different steps!
*Important Items
- Try using each effect separately on audio to see exactly what it does.
- Use the drop down triangles in the browser to choose different audio effect presets.
- Adjust tempo and pitch.
- Use "Info View" helpers if confused (Cheat Code)
- Drag and drop audio onto different tracks to layer sounds.
- Remember, YOU CAN'T BREAK THE SOFTWARE (Ctrl+Z is your friend)
5. Open Lesson 4 Document to begin exploring and answering guided assessment questions.
6. Export and Upload your creation at the end of the session.
