Beginners will need a lesson book. (Intermediate through Expert level students do not need to get a book)

For our band instrument students (all instruments except strings), the book needed is called "Standard of Excellence Band Method" Book 1 for your child's instrument. Click here for a link to the book, or you can get it at most local music stores (call ahead to make sure it is in stock)

String instrument students (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass) will need "Essential Elements for Strings" (2000 Edition or later) Book 1 for your child's instrument. Click here for a link to the book, or you can get it at most local music stores (call ahead to make sure it is in stock) Please be sure to get the 2000 edition or later, believe it or not, there are some 1994 editions still available and they don't match up.

You can get books at local music stores such as Phil's Guitar Shop in Brookfield, Guitar Hangar in Brookfield, Music Learning Center in Danbury and Bethel Music. Call ahead to make sure they have the book in stock.
