Course Description: In 7th Grade Health, students will learn basic health concepts relating to overall health and wellness, social health, dating and relationships, bullying/cyberbullying, emotional health, conflict resolution, violence prevention nutrition, etc. Throughout the course students can expect to participate in lectures, group projects, individual assignments, and exams.
Grading: A final grade will be given based on a variety of assignments.
Book Lessons: There are usually 3-4 book lessons per chapter and they will be worth 10 points each
Exams: Exams will be worth around 40 points each
Presentations/group projects: TBD
Late Work Policy: Students will have until the end of the quarter to turn in late work for full credit. For example, A worksheet due on the 2nd day of school may be turned in on the last day of quarter 1 for full credit. This is NOT an excuse to let late work pile up. Most assignments in this class will be completed IN CLASS. Late work should only be a result of missing class.
Absent Policy: It is the responsibility of the student to complete any work they may have missed as a result of being absent.
If you know you will be gone, let Mr. Kemp know beforehand and we can figure out what you will miss.
Computer Policy: You will rarely use your computers in 7th grade Health. Using your computer is not allowed unless specifically permitted by Mr. Kemp
