Classroom Rules 

• I was trained to use PBIS at my previous school, and I appreciate how the behavior is taught and expected and how it sets out expectations for the students. This also helps the students become more responsible and respectful. 

Positive Reinforcement 

• Using house points to reward positive behavior. 

• Constant positive praise. 

• Sensory tools and walks.

• Frequent movement and sensory breaks. 

Instruction

• Students will start with a mini-lesson in small groups(or during 1:1 based on students' needs). 

• Break out into small groups.

• Provide personalized support. 

Strategies 

• Phonemic Awareness: segmenting, syllables, decoding, deleting, manipulating sounds.

• Phonics: letter identification and their corresponding sounds, blends, and digraphs.

• Reading Fluency: daily reading practice according to their independent reading level.

• Math Centers: Provide CRA practices and models to enhance learning.
