As an educator, I feel that it is my responsibility to teach vital academic information that aligns with current curriculum standards, while also teaching and encouraging life lessons and skills needed in the 21st century. Encouraging academic growth as well as personal growth is essential in everyday education. I believe that students need a consistent and comfortable environment which allows them to thrive inside and outside of the classroom. I will always be a positive role model and treat ALL students with respect. I want to encourage communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and inquiry/research skills. Education is more than content taught in a classroom. Rather, education is about preparing and equipping students with tools and skills needed for life after graduation. I teach because I am passionate about my subject area and because I want to see ALL of my students succeed outside of the classroom.
