Indigenous Learning

I believe that it is essential for teachers to include indigenous learning and knowledge into their practice so that we can honour the the experiences that Canada's indigenous population has to offer. I have made the effort to include important elements of indigenous culture into my classroom to respect student diversity and help students to appreciate the contributions of Canada's indigenous peoples that continue to enrich our lives. I have included some examples of how I do this in my classroom.
