MPS Sustainability

Hello all you awesome supporters of our team! We really appreciate your support all through these harsh times. But 2021 is a new year! We are going to have a new sustainability team running this site, and some of us (the grade 6's in the team) are going to be leaving this school, and bringing all of our ideas to high school! We hope that you continue to keep making more sustainable decisions about your lifestyle, and that you you share this site with your friends and family. This is our last update, until next year, with the new sustainability team, who will hopefully continue to keep posting new great ideas for all of you!

We acknowledge that this is stolen land, and that the Aboriginal people are the rightful owners. We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation who are the Traditional Custodians of this Land. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past, present and emerging of the Kulin Nation and extend that respect to other Indigenous Australians who use this site.

Welcome to the MPS Sustainability site! We hope you find the information on this site helpful and that it inspires you to think about making sustainable choices. We are passionate about the environment and know that even the smallest of changes can make a difference!

TOP TEN SUSTAINABLE ACTIVITIES

Make a worm farm
Grow your own veggies!
Make a compost, or contribute to a neighbours compost if you haven't got room
Use grey water to water the plants
Upcycle containers and cardboard for craft
Make a pot plant, hanging plant or a pot plant made out of a recycled plastic bottle
Grow a plant from a cutting
Plant a native garden
Bottle Cap or recycled material craft
Make origami, or paper mache out of recycled paper.
