MultiPrint allows for placing multiple drawings per page, annotating the drawings, enhancing with built-in CAD functions, importing other CAD objects, and creating custom title blocks.
Object Selector (S) zz- This tool must be used to select each item to modify after placement.
Fill Tool - Use this tool to fill CAD objects with color.
Drawing Tools - Rectangle (R), Lines (L), Ellipse (E), Arcs (A), Polygon (O), and multi-line (U).
NOTE - enter precise dimensions for certain drawing tools in the MEASUREMENTS window.
Rectangle for instance = W,L
Move Tool (M) - Select this tool to move items on the page after placement.
Press ESC to exist move option.
Rotate Tool - Use this tool to rotate items after placed on the page.
NOTE - Enter the exact rotation angle in the MEASUREMENTS window if desired.
Dimension Tool - use this tool to place custom dimensions on the drawing/page.
NOTE - if a drawing is selected the dimension tool will scale to the drawing automatically.
Text Tool (T) -Use this tool to add Text to a Drawing.
NOTE - You can place a carriage return in the Text Box by pressing SHIFT-ENTER.
Pan Tool (P) - Use this tool to pan and reposition the view on the page.
Zoom Tool (Z) - mouse wheel also zooms on focal point of mouse.
Zoom Extents - zooms out to full page view.
Cut (CTRL+X)
Copy (CRTL+C)
Paste (CTRL-V)
Undo (CTRL+Z)
Redo (CTRL+Y)
Delete (press Delete Key)
Snap Tool - (N) Click the snap tool to toggle snapping on/off.
All 2D drawings from the job are accessible automatically from the Drawings Library.
Click on a drawing to preview it in the Preview Window.
Click on the drawing name in the tree or on the image in the preview window, hold the left mouse button, drag it onto the page.
Views from the 2D/3D Product Viewer and the 3D room viewer may also be send to multiprint.
Create the View
Click the print Icon
Mozaik will save the JPG file to the proper folder and list them in MultiPrint automatically.
To modify a drawing after placing
Click the Selector on the top menu
Right Click on the Drawing.
NOTE - All Mozaik drawings are LIVE. If you place a drawing on the page, then modify the drawing within the job, the drawing WILL BE UPDATED on your multiprint page automatically.
Select FLATTEN to preserve the drawing and prevent it from updating.
Select Layers to override the visible layers and layer properties for the selected drawing.
Select Scale to modify the scale of the selected drawing independent of other drawings placed on the page. NOTE: if you modify the scale of an individual object, then change the page scale, the object will remain locked to the originial scale.
Select Drawing Settings to set drawing mode and/or cross section position (for certain views).
Click the Shapes Library to place stored shapes within your MultiPrint drawings.
Click on a shape to preview it in the Preview Window
Click on the shape in the library tree or in the Preview Window, hold the left mouse button, drag the shape onto the drawing.
The shapes will come onto the page to scale.
To modify:
Click the Selector on the top menu
RIGHT CLICK on the shape
Use the blue handles to resize or select other options
The Notes Library is now accessible in MultiPrint.
Click the Notes Library
Click on a note to preview in the Preview Window
Click on the note in the library tree or in the Preview Windows, hold the left mouse button, drag note onto the page.
To modify a note
Click the Selector on the top menu
Right Click on the Note for the Edit Menu
Select EDIT/FORMAT Note to launch the Note in the Notes Library Editor.
The Symbols Library stores imported picture files and other CAD files created within MutliPrint. Great place to import and store architectural symbols for submittal drawings, logos, and other graphics.
Click the Properties ICON to add, edit and delete symbol library categories.
To add a file to the symbols library Click the IMPORT button on the Right Menu Select the drawing using Windows Explorer Click the Selector on the top menu Right Click on the drawing Select Save to Symbols Library
Information stored in the Job Tab, Settings Tab, and Room Settings Tab may be accessed from the Variables menu. You can place the variables on a sheet or in the Title Block Editor to add and automatically update job information on your printed drawings.
Other Variables included in the Defaults are:
Date
Page Name
Page Number
Page Count
Page Scale
Units
Revision
There are two ways to use variables:
1) Place like any other object.
Click the Variables Library
Click on a variable in the tree to preview in the Preview Window
Click on the variable in the library tree or in the Preview Windows, hold the left mouse button, drag note onto the page.
To modify a note
Click the Selector on the top menu
Right Click the Variable
2) You can also use variables in a text string. Simply place the name of the variable inside the {} brackets.
For example, if I wanted to enter a text box that would automatically show the page number and the total page count,
Select Text option on the top menu (OR PRESS T)
Type the information you want displayed including the Variables:
The Object Settings options will change based on the selected object.
If you click on a text box for example, you will have the ability to change fonts, font colors, etc...
If you click on a CAD item line color, fill color, and other properties will be displayed.
Margins - Set the default margin for your page.
NOTE - You will need to take the margin into consideration when designing your TitleBlocks. For Example, an 8 1/2" page width with 1/4" margins will leave room for an 8" wide title block.
Set Page Orientation.
Set border on/off, set border thickness and color.
Set Revision Variable for printing. In the Variables Library there is a variable for {Revision}. This variable will list the number displayed here.
Select / Setup Printer.
Select Setup Title Blocks. Click here for additional help on the Title Block Editor.
Use the Arrows to anchor the currently selected title block into position.
Select your default Page Scale.
Save as Defaults will save the currently displayed options.
Load Defaults will load your defaults and OVERWRITE the current settings.
