When I started introducing true Blended Learning into my classroom I thought that just substituting a physical textbook with a digital one was enough. Over the years I have learned that there is more to engaging students in Blended Learning. Last year I decided to do some PD on the topic of Blended Learning and discovered Playlists for students. These playlists allowed for student choice and autonomy which was something that I was striving for in my classroom.
As students enter middle school their math awareness drastically increases. One of the concepts they have to be aware of is prime and composite numbers. To implement both the learning objective and a lesson that empowers learners to gain the prospective awareness. Using a Hyperdoc, I created a lesson with the intention of doing both.
