How to help a friend
Friendships are a big deal! I often have kids tell me they promised their friend they would not tell anyone... or their friend would be so mad if anyone knew... Sometimes it can be hard to know what friendship secrets are okay and what friendship secrets are not okay.

Things to think about...
Are you worried about your friend? That means something in your gut is telling you something isn't okay.... TELL AN ADULT
Is your friend in danger? Maybe? ....TELL AN ADULT
Is somene hurting your friend? ....TELL AND ADULT
Is your friend thinking about suicide or talking about suicide?.... TELL AND ADULT
You can offer to talk to an adult together, sometimes it helps to have a supportive friend. These websites have great tips to help you talk about it. If your friend still says you can't tell anyone, remember, if it is about safety you need to tell a trusted adult. It is the best friend that makes the hard decision to tell and help a friend to make sure they are safe.
