We fundraised for Ukraine during the 2021-2022 school year. On February 24th, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The UN has estimated over 12 million people have already fled Ukraine since the invasion. Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, along with the surrounding towns have been bombed and multiple towns have been left in ruin, with thousands of civilians killed or displaced. So, throughout the school our club participated in fundraisers such as our Ukrainian Refugee Item Drive to collect basic necessity items that went Ukrainian Refugee Centers in Brooklyn, social media blasts to raise awareness about the problem and the Color Run fundraiser, from which we raised over a thousand dollars to donate to Ukraine!
