Who are we?

• Dedicated to helping children in need locally AND internationally

• Getting involved in the community as a group that represents MHS

• Raise money to donate to a country of focus through the UNICEF organization

• Raise awareness about problems that children face in other countries

• Opportunities to volunteer locally

Sudan Conflict:

On April 15, 2023, hostilities erupted between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), both representing Sudan's military government
This year more than 7.7 million people have faced food insecurity
There are 2.4 million refugees who have been displaced, half of whom are children
authorities threatened, harassed, and arbitrarily detained critics, journalists, protesters, and human rights activists for long periods without trial

Proceeds made through our events and fundraisers will be sent to help South Sudan
Posting on social media to spread awareness (in addition to discussing the current events during club meetings)
Spreading information on South Sudanese culture and the traditions of those being affected by the crisis
