We fundraised for India during the 2021-2022 school year. India was impacted severely by the COVID-19 pandemic, with over 34.7 million total cases and 476,000 total deaths. The extremely high number of cases has put high pressure on their healthcare system, creating a shortage of medical supplies. During April and May 2021, hundreds of thousands of people died due to lack of oxygen and medical facilities, and now there are concerns that another third wave will occur during the winter months. Additionally, children returning to school with no vaccine will be the most vulnerable. Our donations to UNICEF will help provide life saving equipment to help India fight COVID.
