Child Centered * Hands-on * Respect * Independence
The Montessori Homeschool Pod offers a personal educational experience, characterized as a multi-age, single-room classroom with a small student/teacher ratio, currently meeting twice a week in Robert, Louisiana. Its mission is to enrich and support homeschool education by integrating the principles and methods of Montessori philosophy, aiming to spark interests and support curiosity.
In this project-based learning environment, elementary students ages 9 - 12 engage with their peers in hands-on learning that follows their interests and is supported by a dynamic Montessori curriculum filled with activities including core academic lessons, science experiments, writing exercises, artistic expression, and practical life experiences. The Pod’s educational approach supports homeschooling families while fostering holistic development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains, nurturing each child’s growth and potential.

“Our care of the child should be governed, not by the desire to make him learn things, but by the endeavor always to keep burning within him that light which is called intelligence.”
