I am originally from Colombia where I graduated as a Licenciada en Lenguas Modernas from Universidad Surcolombiana. After finishing my M.A at Iowa State University, I went to Melbourne, Australia, where I completed my PhD at the University of Melbourne. I settled down in Chile in 2011 and since then I have been teaching and doing research at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso. My research interests are multiple. However, most of the research I have done is on computer-based L2 listening. I have also done research on blended language learning, technology integration in language classrooms and. lately, I am interested in investigating the development of research competencies of pre-service teachers.
