Billing Procress
Public Patients
Patients who do not have a Medicare card or who are not eligible for Medicare must pay for hospital treatments. It is your obligation to make sure you have sufficient and appropriate health insurance coverage or enough money to pay for your medical expenses.
Australian Government has Reciprocal Health Care Agreements (RHCA) with:
United Kingdom
New Zealand
Ireland (Republic of)
Sweden
The Netherlands
Malta
Finland
Belgium
Norway
Slovenia
Italy
These agreements may give you access to limited subsidised health services for medically essential treatments while you are visiting Australia if you are a citizen of one of these nations. Please be aware that from the day of arrival in Australia, tourists from Italy and Malta are covered by Medicare for a period of six months.
All refugees, asylum seekers, and tuberculosis patients are entitled to free medical care with the proper documents.

Private Patients
You have the choice of obtaining care as a public or private patient at our facilities. Utilising your private health insurance with Monash Health assists in securing critically important financing for:

Payment methods
BPAY
To make payments using a check, savings, debit card, credit card, or transaction account, get in touch with your bank, credit union, or building society.
To pay your bill, you will need the Biller Code and Reference Number listed at the bottom of your invoice.
Online
To use your credit card to make a payment, visit the secure Westpac payments page.
To pay your bill, enter the PayWay Biller Code and Reference Number located at the bottom of your invoice and follow the on-screen instructions.
Phone
Call 1300 885 175 to make credit card payments over the phone.
To pay your bill, enter the PayWay Biller Code and Reference Number located at the bottom of your invoice and follow the voice instructions.
You may also use a check to pay. Make checks payable to Monash Health alone.
Mail your check and the payment slip you removed from the bottom of the invoice to:

Person to Person
During operating hours, you can make a payment at the hospital cashier. Present your invoice and make payment with cash, a check, credit card, or EFTPOS.
