Mission:
The mission of the library is to support Winnisquam Regional High School’s mission, goals, and objectives as an integral component of the school’s instructional program by providing guidance and resources for all to ethically access information and tools for inquiry, innovation, and collaboration while addressing 21st century skills, including life and career development, learning and innovation and information, media, and technology literacy.
Community Norms for the WRHS Library Learning Commons
2018/2019
Chromebooks and Chargers
- The Library Learning Commons no longer has Chromebooks or chargers for loan.
iPads
- iPads are still available to use in the LLC or check out but will no longer have functioning Apps due to their age.
Kindles
- Kindles are still available for use.
Green Screen
Our Green Screen is set up and can be used by teachers and students for class projects. An App (there are many free ones and ones that charge a fee) must be downloaded to your cell phone to use the Green Screen.
Accessing the Learning Commons
Accessing the Learning Commons
- All students using the library during Academic Class periods bring a pass from an academic or study hall teacher.
- Sign in using the digital form on the computer at the main desk or scan the code provided with your phone (must add App to phone).
- All student must sign out using the "Sign Out" book provided at the main desk. One student only may leave the LLC at a time. For the bathroom a student must take the pink pass with them.
Behavior in the Library Learning Commons
The Library Learning Commons is a space meant to support and accommodate a diverse set of needs and uses. Please be respectful of others by talking and collaborating in a way that does not disturb others. Headphones are required for listening to audio.
Activities in the Library Learning Commons include but are not limited to:
- Reading, viewing, and/or listening to books and magazines
- Researching using the print and online resources
- Working and browsing on the computers / Chromebooks
- Using a digital resource for reading or listening (headphones required)
- Collaborating with each other on projects or research
- Meetings for groups and clubs
- Presentation on special topics

Computer Usage
The Library Learning Commons is an integral part of the Winnisquam Regional School District. All computer usage should comply with the Acceptable Use Policy of the District.
Book Borrowing
Book Borrowing
Fiction and Non-fiction titles available for borrowing may be checked out for 2 weeks with the option to renew. All borrowers (not friends or family) are solely responsible for returning the books in the same condition.

- "Destiny Library Online Catalog" can be accessed from the WRSD home page, go under "Quick Links".
- To get book suggestions, go to Novel List and search by interest, genre, etc.
