Dr. Himanshu Joshi is a computational biophysicist by training. He obtained his master's in Physics from Kumaun University Nainital, India, followed by his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, India, in 2017. After a brief internship at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology at Bangalore India, he moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his postdoctoral studies in 2017. He joined the Biotechnology department of IIT Hyderabad where he is currently employed as an assistant professor.

Priyanka obtained her undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Botany Honours from Maharani College, Jaipur, University of Rajasthan, India in 2019 followed by a Master's degree in Life Science from NIT Rourkela, Odisha, in 2021. She qualified CSIR-NET JRF in June 2021 and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2022 for Category-II conducted by department of biotechnology. Her research interest lies in self-assembled biosystems, Biological water, DNA nanotechnology and lipid membranes. Currently Priyanka is exploring the structure and dynamics of interfacial water on various membrane surfaces.

Kunal obtained his undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Physics from Shivaji college, University of Delhi, in 2018 followed by a Master's degree in Physics from NIT Warangal, in 2022. Shashank obtained his undergraduate degree (B.Sc. Honours) in Botany from Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India in 2017, followed by his Master’s degree in Life Science (M.Sc.) from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, Odisha in 2020. He qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Life sciences and Biotechnology in 2021; and Joint-CSIR-UGC-NET JRF in 2021. His research interest lies in exploring nano-bio interface for therapeutics, and proteins. Presently, Shashank is employing coarse-grained and all-atom MD simulations for revealing protein-DNA binding and target-search mechanism.

Sumitro Dey was born on December 08, 1996, in Kolkata, West Bengal. Sumitro Dey is a motivated postgraduate student with an academic background in both engineering and science. Sumitro obtained his postgraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta followed by an MTech degree in Advanced Materials Science and Technology from NIT Durgapur. His passion lies in exploring the interdisciplinary field of chemistry and materials science and biology with a focus on small molecule synthesis, computational chemistry, in silico drug design, and material characterization. He aims to contribute to the field of drug discovery by employing virtual screening techniques, molecular docking simulations, and density functional theory calculations and with a strong desire to learn about molecular dynamics simulation and other computational skills.

Rahul obtained his undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in Biotechnology Honours from DAV University, Jalandhar, in 2020 followed by a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed University, Mullana, Ambala, in 2022. He is a gold medalist in his Master's cousre. He qualified GATE BT in March 2023 and received a DST-INSPIRE Provisional letter in March 2023. Saanya completed her bachelor of technology (B.Tech) in biotechnology from Delhi Technological University (formerly k/n as Delhi College of Engineering) in June 2023. She has performed computational studies in DNA modification as a MITACS Globalink Research Intern in 2022. She has qualified GATE 2023 in Biotechnology and has joined PhD program at IITH directly after bachelors. Her research work revolves around investigating nucleic acid modifications for therapeutic purpose using biomolecular and modeling and simulations.

Jessica Baa obtained her B.Sc. in biotechnology from Ramadevi Women’s University in the year 2018 followed by M.Sc. from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan in 2020. Then she completed her M.Tech from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad in 2024 and joined the lab in IIT- Hyderabad in 2025 January. She has qualified ICAR-JRF in 2021 and Gate BT and XL in 2022 and 2024. Her research interest lies in nanotechnology, cell biology and lipid membranes functions.
