INTERCULTURAL EVIDENCE

In the following video, I explain an intercultural activity and how we can apply for grade 11 IB students.

In Grade 11 IB curriculum should allow students to express their opinion with a rationale. All students are from a western educational background, and this is the first time to live and study in Arabic classrooms. Only three years ago they had experience in our school. Students need to use the language to compare their current classroom in Dubai and the previous classroom in their home countries. It is essential to use the language in describing and comparing to something touching their feeling and life. Moreover, it is about description and related to their opinion when reporting what, how, when, and why they want to study and timetable. It is an important project to listen to students’ voices and share them with SLT. They did the same activity in English, and it is good to practice it again in Arabic to practice their proficiency.
