Ideation

Tell us about your assignment's idea for this week. Why do you care about this idea? What were you inspired by?

my assignment's this week is make model of a simple mobile phone stand by simple material from home , and Design a model of a simple mobile phone stand that may rest on a flat surface (Table Top). Design the parts using Fusion 360 and fabricate it using Laser Cutting in fablab.

Tool Chain

Which software/machines/materials did you use this week? Why?

i use notebook cover that made of paperboard and i cut it by scissors According to the size And assembled according to the design by using Adhesive tape.

i used laser cutting machine to cut my first design using material "plywood " by using laserworkV6 software.

Design Process

Explain the design process of your assignment. How did you use the tool/software to design and/or simulate your assignment?

i used fusion 360 to design my simple design it's contant of 5 parts and it was very simple

I Sketch the parts by new sketch on fusion 360 then i extruded the parts (3mm thickness ) then I exported the file as Dxf file and .rdl file to use it in laserwork v6 software.

Fabrication/Implementation Process

Explain the fabrication/implementation process of your assignment. How did you use the machine/tool to manufacture or implement the design of your assignment?

Laser cutting:

for software : I used laserworkV6 to edit the design and select the scanning part(300 speed,25 power) and cutting part(23 speed,65 power) .
import the .dxf or .rld file to the pc and Download the file to the machine then go to the laser cutting screen and chose the file name then power on the machine and start the operation by scanning and engraving the model.
after finishing cutting we power off the machine and take the model

i found some issu with my EOweek Self-Practice and I asked my partner "mohamed ashraf " in the group to help in some messing data in the design folder and it's worked.

my assignment's this week is make model of a simple mobile phone stand by simple material from home , and design it in a 360 fusion but I found some issue while I design it ,that I can't make a some hole in my design and I can't extrude it for cutting . and I share my design video in flipgrid.

in this a learn some basic about desgin that is can help me to create and cutting my project body.
