At the oral exam, we could open the book to this page and ask you several questions about your reading habits, based on the language here. We would want to see that you are familiar with the words, phrases and expressions on this page and are able to answer these questions eloquently. Your ability to use the adverbs and adverbial phrases discussed up to this point in the Unit will be evaluated positively. So dedicate some time to Section 5.

Follow the instructions in Exercise 6a. Make sure to look up words you do not already know. Then train your English ear by listening to the story using Audio 2.19. Answer the 4 questions and check your answer on the Page of Answers.

Now follow through with the instructions for Exercise 6b. We suggest you read everything first and check that you know what most of the words and phrases mean before you go to the listening.

So, when you are ready, CLICK HERE to listen to Audio 2.20. To check your listening comprehension, answer the 8 questions about Part 2. Then go to the Page of Answers to see how you did and also access the transcript of the audio.

Follow through with Exercises 6c, Part 3 of Susan's saga. CLICK on this LINK for Audio 2.21. Make sure you understand all the highlighted phrases since we could ask you to use these on the exam:
