Progression and Feedback
Here's how the process works for completing all professional activities:
Students should stay in regular contact with their Research Tutor.
When students feel they have finished a specific professional activity, such as finalizing their proposal, they need to inform their Research Tutor that they're ready to be assessed.
The Research Tutor will then complete the OAR linked to this activity.
There are two types of assessments: competency levels and marks.
The competency levels are to indicate to the student, based on expert feedback, what are the holistic elements of their professional behaviours and attitudes that they are excelling at and which they need to work on (this is referred to as formative assessment).
The marks will be used as summative assessments to generate a grade.
At the end, the Research Tutor will need to acknowledge that, regardless of the mark and competency level, the student is ready to move to the next activity.
Once this assessment is done, the course coordinator needs to be notified by the student. That is, the students must schedule an on-line Google Meets feedback session with both the Research Tutor and the course coordinator.

Once the student identifies a suitable time for the feedback session, they should send a request to the course coordinator (Adam.dubrowski@ontariotechu.net) and the Research Tutor with the following subject and body:
Subject: Review of Professional Activity: (Insert the activity)
Body:
"Dear Drs. [Insert the last name of the Research Tutor] and Dubrowski,
I would like to schedule a feedback meeting. I have identified [insert the date] and I have sent a calendar invite to your preferred email address. Please let me know if this does not work for you.
Sincerely,
[Student's name]"
Finally, the student needs to send an calendar invite to both the Research Tutor and course coordinator.
