Description: We are pleased to share our participation in the 2nd Year Joint Workshop for the KITECH-KIMM Convergent Basic Project, held at the Orakai Songdo Park Hotel on July 20, 2026.
During this collaborative workshop organized by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH) and the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM), Prof. Jinsung Rho delivered an insightful presentation during Session 1. The presentation was titled:
"Introduction to Metrology Technology for Advanced Packaging Practical Environments"
This talk highlighted our specialized expertise in semiconductor metrology and inspection, addressing the practical challenges and measurement solutions required for advanced packaging. The event served as a fantastic platform to share our technical advancements and strengthen collaborative ties with leading national research institutes.

Description: We are thrilled to share that our research titled:
"Study on Thermo-Mechanical Reliability Analysis and Structural Optimization of 3D Printed Stacked Memory Modules"
has been honored with the Best Student Presentation Award at the 2025 Autumn Conference organized by the Korean Society of Manufacturing Technology Engineers (KSMTE).
This work, brilliantly delivered as an oral presentation by Doyoon Kim and co-authored by Prof. Jinsung Rho, was recognized in the Space Semiconductor Packaging category. The study focused on deeply analyzing the thermo-mechanical reliability and optimizing the structural design of 3D-printed stacked memory modules, contributing valuable insights to the development of highly robust semiconductor packages for harsh space environments.

Description: Our research team participated in the KSMTE Annual Spring Conference 2026 (Korean Society of Manufacturing Technology Engineers), held at the St. John's Hotel in Gangneung from July 14 to 17, 2026.

Description: Our research team participated in PRESM 2026 (International Conference on Precision Engineering and Sustainable Manufacturing), held at the Marina Bay Sands EXPO in Singapore from June 28 to July 3, 2026.
We attended the conference together with our lab members, students Doyoon Kim and Taekgyun Kim, presenting our latest research centered on the topic of Thermography.

KSME Micro/Nano Division Conference: 2026-May-6~May-9
Description: Our research team, led by Prof. Jinsung Rho and including lab members Geuntak and Thanh, successfully participated in the 2026 Spring Conference of the KSME Micro/Nano Engineering Division (Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers). The conference was held at the The Ocean Resort in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do, from May 6 to 9, 2026.

"Carbon Nano-based Super Black Coating for Enhancing Light Absorptance and Hydrophobicity on Ti–6Al–4V Substrates via Chemical Vapor Deposition"
has been honored with an award at the 2026 Spring Conference of the KSME Micro/Nano Engineering Division.
This collaborative work was driven by Geuntak Yook and Prof. Jinsung Rho, alongside Thuy Kieu Troung, Prof. Hongseok Yoon, Prof. Youngdeok Park, and Prof. Geonhee Kim from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Defense Space Engineering at Hanbat National University.
The study presented an innovative approach using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to apply a carbon nano-based super black coating onto Ti-6Al-4V substrates. This advanced surface treatment significantly enhances both light absorptance and hydrophobicity, showing immense potential for high-reliability optical systems and aerospace applications.
