Solution: Bar Graph: Hassan

Hassan is trying to figure out if Rocklandia has more igneous, sedimentary, or metamorphic rocks. Help him make a bar graph to solve this problem.

According to Hassan's bar graph, Rocklandia has the most different types of igneous rocks, and the fewest types of metamorphic rocks.

Note that there are two forms of basalt to be placed into the graph. You may decide if you want students to count them as one type or rock or two (both solutions are shown above) 

Remind students to name the x and y axis on their respective slates.
