MLB Stadium Tour

In 2013, my sister and I bought a 10 game package in order to secure our seats for attending the All Star Game on my exact birthday, July 16th! It was a once in a lifetime experience and I cannot express how grateful I was to have her on board with me.

What is the purpose of this website?

I want to share my adventures in my love for baseball and the NY Mets with people. I started going to baseball games in 2003, and started venturing out to other stadiums in 2006. Eventually my love for baseball grew and I wanted to reach the goal of visiting all 30 MLB teams' stadiums.
When did you become a Mets fan?I must say my love baseball did not come to fruition until the late 1990s, early 2000s, convenient, right? My first love was the NY Knicks and I even had a dialogue with a classmate in Junior High School on AIM, discussing why baseball was BORING to watch and that it's the slowest game ever. Then one summer, presumably, when I graduated JHS, I turned the TV on to watch baseball since nothing good was on. It was then that I learned the rules of baseball and how scoring, and basically how the gameplay works. I remember very well that all throughout JHS, the Mets fans were outnumbered by the Yankees fans. I even witnessed a boy teasing another boy, for being a Mets fan. Let me tell you, the Mets fan always wore a Mets jacket and the Yankees fan always made fun of the Mets fan. In my mind, I always felt bad for the Mets fan and honestly felt bothered the year that the Yankees won and students were absent from class because they went to the parade. Something didn't sit right with me. When I entered high school, there was a major divide by the time 2000 rolled around, as you know it, the World Series aka the Subway Series. This was the first time I had to pick a side and in my underdog heart, I always felt I was a Mets fan even if I didn't pledge myself to the blue and orange earlier. The conversation during the Subway Series was among my sisters and at the time my future brother in law. He is a dedicated Yankees fan and both my sisters and I all stated that we were Mets fans. We gave a reason: the Mets umbrella my dad owned for years. Even though my dad wasn't a sports fan at all, he owned two baseball items: a Mets umbrella and a blue and yellow Kansas City Royals cap. To me, it was odd to see the KC cap, but I presume that it was from one of my dad's adventures out West when he traveled. It would be much later on that I realized maybe, he bought the cap in 1985, the years the Royals won, the same year I was born, which is quite funny since I am the first in my family to ever watch/enjoy baseball. So there you have it, the reason I became a Mets fan, and since then, I've been bleeding orange and blue. In terms, of what type of fan am I, I am one of those fans that cannot leave the game until the game is over (for Mets games only). My colleagues told me once: "Angela is going to help turn the lights off at Citi Field." This was one of those games when there was rain in the forecast, multiple delays and there were literally 100 people in the stadium that waited it out before they called the game, for it to play out the next day. I stay for all 9 innings and painfully so, when there's extra innings, with work the next day. It's not superstition, it's dedication to stay for what you paid for. Haha.
What prompted you to do a stadium tour for all 30 MLB teams?My growing love for baseball prompted me to a stadium tour of all 30 teams. It started out as a conversation with my sister since we went on many trips to various cities in the US. Then it became apparent that it would be feasible to make the stadium visits as part of our trips. Although sometime along the way in 2014 or so, I decided to go on some solo trips to visit the stadiums. On June 25, 2022, I completed my MLB baseball tour of 30 stadiums.

What's next?
Well if there are teams that relocate, I'd have to visit the new stadium. Alternatively, if new stadiums are built, I'd have to visit those as well.

NY Mets have the only orange foul poles!
Toronto Blue Jays have a hotel embeded inside their ballpark where people can watch the games from their rooms!
Tampa Bay Rays have a tank of stingrays!
Miami Marlins has a bobblehead museum upon the entrance in glass cases!
San Diego Padres do not have a lot of rained out games and there's a brick on the floor that spells out Boycott PETCO!
Colorado Rockies is a mile high, above sea level...just like the rest of the city of Denver! They also have waterfalls in the outfield.
Detroit Tigers has both a merry go round and ferris wheel inside the ballpark!
Arizona Diamondbacks have a retractable roof and a pool!
Boston Red Sox has the oldest ballpark in MLB.
Chicago Cubs has the second oldest ballpark in MLB.
Seattle Mariners have a retractable roof.
Globe Life Field has a retractable roof and "over the top" everything.
Minute Maid Park has a homer counter, a train that moves when there's a homer, and a retractable roof.
