Northwest Africa (NWA) 16895 is an interesting and unique meteorite. The rock is currently being re-examined its origin, -- while our petrological and chronological studies suggest it may be a KREEP-rich Lunar basalt, with a very young igneous or shock-resetting age of ~2 billion years. I presented those recent findings at 87th Annual Meeting of the Meteoritical Society (abstract). Please email to me (mizuhokoike [AT] hiroshima-u.ac.jp) if you have any questions and/or comments regarding this meteorite.
