A good administrator is able to reflect on practice. It is not always an easy task to hold this position, and the world itself is not always easy on us. It is wise to look for ways to reflect and bring positive into the situation, as much as possible. This reflection is of a difficult time in my career and how I am finding strength to bring my best to my job.

The observation of a struggling teacher and attempting to treat the situation with professionalism while respecting what the teacher is going through is not to be done without careful consideration. The administrator will carefully assess the situation and do it with ethical leadership.

ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale: : A knowledgeable educational administrator promotes success in students by demonstrating fairness, integrity, and ethical behaviors while maintaining accountability for the students' academic and social success. School principles of self-awareness, reflective practice, transparency, and ethical behaviors are also demonstrated while protecting the values of democracy, equity, and diversity. Administration constantly evaluates legal and moral consequences of their decisions, promoting the most important aspect of the school: the students.
