We are using google sheets to create a pixel image through conditional formatting.

Rubric of Assignment:

5 - Size of the cells form a grid

10 - Create a conditional formatting rule for 5 colors at the very least (yes it can be more than 5 colors)

10 - Fully Completed Pixel Image

5 - Fully Colored Background

5 - Match the text color to the grid colors

5 - Remove the grid lines before turning it in

5- Share your document with teacher that includes:
- Post on Digital Porfolio
- Send it to your teacher in an email

Part 1: Introduction to Make Art with Google Sheets

INSTRUCTIONS

Log in to your Google account.
Open Google Drive.
Create a new spreadsheet.
Rename it.

Part 2: Create Your Grid and Choose an Image

INSTRUCTIONS

Resize all cells to form a grid.
Search for spreadsheet pixel art.
Customize your search and filter your results if needed.
Open your selected image in a new browser tab.

Part 3: Create a Color Palette with Conditional Formatting

INSTRUCTIONS

Select all the cells in your spreadsheet.
Create a conditional formatting rule for each color in your image.
Check your conditional formatting rules by adding numbers to cells.

Part 4: Create Your Image

INSTRUCTIONS

Open the conditional formatting rules to see your color values.
Add values to color cells in your spreadsheet.
Complete your image.
Select a custom range for your background.
Add a new rule to set a background color.

Part 5: Match Text and Fill Colors and Remove Gridlines

NSTRUCTIONS

Revise the conditional formatting rules to match text colors to fill colors.
Remove the gridlines from your spreadsheet.
