We have a new website!
Nationally, Decision Day (also referred to as College Signing Day) is celebrated on May 1. In Minnesota, Decision Day events are celebrated at any time during the month of May. It is an opportunity to celebrate students' hard work and accomplishments during their senior year, as well as their post-high school plans. Minnesota Goes to College is inclusive of all graduates' decisions: postsecondary education to obtain a two-year degree, a four-year degree, a certificate or industry-recognized credential, as well as students entering the military or the workforce.
Students and schools share their Decision Day event stories on social media by using the hashtags: #MNGoesToCollege #MNDecisionDay #IDecidedMN #BetterMakeRoom
All Minnesota high schools and college access programs are encouraged to participate! Postsecondary institutions can also host decision day events at their institution to celebrate incoming students.
Visit the Site Support page to find out all the ways in which Minnesota Goes to College supports site coordinators and host sites with their Decision Day events.
Minnesota Decision Day is supported by former First Lady Michelle Obama's Reach Higher initiative and Better Make Room. High school sites can apply for $500 grants through DonorsChoose.org which are funded by College Football Playoff Foundation.
