College Knowledge Month & FAFSA Completion Events

Statewide College Exploration and Application Completion Events

October is College Knowledge Month!

The goal of College Knowledge Month's is to provide every graduating high school senior with the preparation, opportunity, and support needed to apply to college.

Many postsecondary institutions waive application fees during College Knowledge Month.

This month-long effort allows students to do more than just submit a college application. Within this time frame, students can participate in the college exploration and planning process at their own pace -- and schools can align this initiative with the many college exploration activities that are already taking place during the fall.

Help Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Free FAFSA Completion Events!

Minnesota College Goal is a statewide initiative that provides free information and assistance to students and families completing applying for Federal Student Aid. These events are facilitated by partnering high schools, youth college access programs and colleges across Minnesota. Volunteers from local colleges and universities help college-bound students and their families complete the FAFSA at these events.

Minnesota College Goal focuses on first-generation, low-income students, and students of color, but we support all students and their families in completing this important step in paying for their postsecondary education.
