Badminton for me is more than practice—it’s also about testing myself in tournaments. Over the past few years, I’ve joined both school, club, and open competitions. Some of them I only made it past the first round, and others I fought my way to medals. No matter the result, each tournament gave me something new to learn.Â
One of my favorite tournaments used a team format where every match connected to the next by score. It wasn’t just about me winning—it was about making sure my points could help the team. I loved that feeling of teamwork and pressure combined.Â
I also wasn’t always on court. Some of my favorite photos are just me standing on the sidelines, shouting encouragement and watching my teammates win. Being part of that energy was just as special as playing.Â
There’s a picture I really like of me high-fiving the referee. For me, it shows respect and sportsmanship—things that matter just as much as performanceÂ
I’ve got a few pictures that capture me jumping high or making powerful smashes. I’ll admit, my face looks pretty funny when I hit hard, but I think that just makes it more real and fun.
I don’t have photos or full stories from all my older tournaments, but they were still important. Even when I lost early, those matches motivated me to train harder and come back stronger. Looking back, I see those first steps as part of what got me here today.Â
