In this section the models made from sheet metal are depicted. It was fascinating to find out about this feature and all of the shapes you can make with it. It has broadened my knowledge significantly and taught me how thin sheets of aluminium can be fun and creative way to make different models, some that could perhaps have an everyday purpose and importance and others that can be a toy or an ornament.
This blue metal bracket is represented alongside 2 types of 2D drawing we can make when working with sheet metal. When working in this section of Fusion 360 I learned how to unfold designs if necessary and make a 2D drawing that represents a whole another perspective which can be easier to be understood by the manufacturer of the part.
Also, I learned how to use flange and sheet metal rules in order to obtain the desired result and shape of the model, which was also implemented in the designs below.
Besides first couple of models aimed to be manufactured mainly from aluminium, this brass door hinge is something different. Its animation above describes how it would work and what its main function would be. Both, upper and lower part would be able to move 180 degrees in positive and negative directions.
