At the College of Semiconductor Research, National Tsing Hua University, our group is driven by a shared mission: to engineer the next generation of logic and memory technologies through deep understanding of material physics, interface behavior, and device reliability. Our lab actively explores the boundaries of ferroelectric semiconductors, advanced transistor architectures, and storage-class memory paradigms.
We are a team of efficient, young, and enthusiastic researchers — PhD students, postdocs, and MS scholars — united by curiosity, innovation, and the desire to solve real-world semiconductor challenges. Our approach combines cleanroom fabrication, electrical characterization, physical modeling, and system-level relevance, creating a research environment where fundamental science meets industrial applicability.
Ferroelectric Field-Effect Transistors (FeFETs) for non-volatile memory and logic
MFIS, MFM, and 2TnC structures for neuromorphic and SCM applications
Interface defect physics, including trap characterization and charge pumping
Low-frequency noise analysis, polarization switching kinetics, and reliability modeling
Collaborative research with Fraunhofer (Germany), CNRS (France), and more
Full access to TSRI and NFC for hands-on semiconductor processing
Outcome-oriented culture – Our group emphasizes early and high-quality graduation:
MS within 1.5–2 years
PhD within 3–3.5 years, based on clear project goals and dedicated mentorship
Multi-disciplinary collaboration – Students work in tight-knit vertical teams with daily support from senior PhDs and postdocs, enabling rapid skill-building and publication-ready research.
Freedom to explore – While we offer strong core projects, independent thinkers are encouraged to develop and lead new ideas.
If you want to start a new research paradigm, you are always welcome to do so.
Graduates from our group go on to pursue:
PhD and postdoc positions at top institutes worldwide (Europe, US, Taiwan)
Industry roles in semiconductor R&D.
Academic careers with a strong publication and international collaboration record
