The Frontline Staff serves as the leadership team of the Milpitas High School NJROTC Unit. Together, these cadets ensure that all operations, activities, and administrative functions run smoothly while upholding the highest standards of discipline, teamwork, and excellence. Each department plays a vital role in the unit's success.

DEPARTMENTS

OPERATIONS - The Operations Department is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all NJROTC events and activities. This includes managing the unit’s calendar, ensuring smooth execution of drills, ceremonies, and competitions, and maintaining communication between cadets and staff. The department ensures that every event runs efficiently and aligns with the unit’s goals and Navy standards. Operations plays a key role in keeping the unit organized and mission-ready at all times.

ADMINISTRATION - The Administration Department keeps the NJROTC unit organized and efficient. They manage cadet records, attendance, and official documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. From tracking promotions and awards to preparing reports and correspondence, this department supports the smooth operation of the unit and helps maintain readiness for inspections, events, and competitions.

SUPPLY - The Supply Department oversees all uniforms, equipment, and inventory within the NJROTC unit. Their responsibilities include issuing and maintaining cadet uniforms, tracking gear, and ensuring that all materials are accounted for and in good condition. The department also manages ordering new supplies and keeping storage areas organized. Supply plays a vital role in keeping the unit well-equipped and inspection-ready.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS - The Public Affairs Department manages the unit’s image, communication, and outreach. This team documents NJROTC events through photography, videography, and social media, promoting the achievements and professionalism of the cadets. They also handle newsletters, posters, and other publicity materials to strengthen community engagement and highlight the unit’s impact. Public Affairs ensures the story of NJROTC is told with pride and accuracy.

DRILL TEAMS - The Drill Team Department works closely with the Operations Department to ensure that all drill teams, including Color Guard, Drill Team with Arms (DTWA), Unarmed Drill Team (UDT), Honor Guard, and Orienteering, are prepared for upcoming events, competitions, and ceremonial duties. This department is responsible for maintaining high standards of discipline, precision, teamwork, and professionalism throughout all drill-related activities.

COMPANIES - The unit is divided into Alfa and Bravo Companies. It is the responsibility of each Company Commander to ensure their respective company is properly prepared, organized, and ready to carry out all assigned duties and activities.
