Jumpy Drone is a short 2D puzzle platformer made in Unity. The main mechanic involves using the character's canon to fire projectiles at buttons, which move platforms and open doors. This was a solo project for my 2D Game Development course, where the games were encouraged to be non-violent to explore other genres and art styles in games.
Primary Role: Solo Developer
Team Size: Solo Project
Time Frame: 3 Weeks
Responsibilities:
Designed a system that linked buttons to certain doors and platforms, moving them when the button is shot. Buttons could have one or several platforms attached
Platforms/doors would move based on their local rotation, meaning the direction they moved could be customized
Created an option for buttons to be set to "one way" such that they could only be pressed once. This was used for three buttons that needed to be pressed to complete the level
Made a level trigger the fades the game to black and starts the ending when shot
Custom character and object sprites created using basic Unity shapes
